I'm a postdoctoral researcher working in the School of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Leeds. I'm primarily concerned with observing, characterising and modelling complex molecules in protoplanetary discs with the Atacama Large Millimetre Array (ALMA).

More generally, my research is centred around the processes occurring in star and planet formation in our Galaxy. This discipline involves investigation of both physical and chemical effects that occur when stars are formed within large clouds of gas and dust, and also when planets form in the discs around these young stars. Many of these processes are not well understood, and discovering more about them will enable us to say much more about how the Sun and the Earth were formed, and ultimately about how you and I ended up here today.

This website contains a short section about me, a brief description of my research, some teaching I have done, and a few ways to contact me if you have any questions. You'll also find my Twitter feed to the right, which you are welcome to follow to see what I'm getting up to.

Disky Business

Here in Leeds, we hold a fortnightly meeting to discuss topics and new papers relating to circumstellar and protoplanetary discs. Click here for the meeting schedule.
